Is Heathlands Website safe to shop on?
Our website is a completely safe place to shop. We use a shopping service provided by a reputable merchant who in turn uses an expert to check the security of their website daily. Our shopping provider looks after thousands of shopping websites across the world, and they have never had a security breach since we have been using them.

How do I know a website page is secure?
To be sure a website page is secure in Internet Explorer, look for a padlock to be displayed in the bottom right hand corner of the window. It will look like this;

Why doesn't every page show a padlock?
When you are shopping on our website, you will notice most pages don't display the padlock. This is because as no sensitive information is being communicated, it is unnecessary for every page to have the same degree of security. You will only see the padlock being displayed when you come to enter payment details - either Credit/Debit card numbers, or PayPal information.

Entering Credit/Debit Card Information
When you start entering your credit or debit card information, you will actually be on a different website to Heathlands, one which is checked daily against hackers. This professional, third-party website holds the card details until we need them.

If you choose to pay by PayPal, all security aspects are managed by PayPal.

What about Internet Explorer warnings about active content?
Depending on your browser settings, you might see the following warning on some of our website pages;

This warning appears as our web pages use some JavaScript to carry out actions such as opening larger images of products. We believe that active content is safe to use on web pages. If you prefer not to accept the active content, you can ignore the warnings and still shop with us.
